1. How will I receive my purchased readings?
Upon completing your purchase, you will be able to immediately view your
readings by clicking on "My Library" on the left hand side menu. You will
also receive an email from the GARP Digital Library that contains links to
download each reading purchased and instructions for installing and registering
LockLizard’s
SafeGuard Secure PDF Viewer software. The downloaded readings are formatted
as encrypted PDF files (.pdc) which are accessible only by properly installing
and registering the SafeGuard Secure PDF Viewer software. This is only necessary
for printing your readings.
2. Why are my purchased readings encrypted?
The readings offered through the GARP Digital Library are copyrighted
materials and are being reproduced and distributed by the GARP Digital Library
with permission from the respective publishers. Encrypting the readings enables
us to provide the risk management community with easy and inexpensive access
to valuable information while respecting the publishing community’s desire
to protect their copyrighted material.
3. What will I be able to do with my purchased readings?
Purchased readings will always be accessible for viewing from
any computer by clicking on "My Library" on the left hand side menu. For printing
purposes, purchased readings can also be downloaded and made accessible from
one (1) computer. Downloaded readings will be restricted to two
(2) printings only (regardless of the portion of the document printed). All
use of materials purchased through the GARP Digital Library is subject to the
terms of the End
User License Agreement.
4. How do I get LockLizard’s SafeGuard Secure PDF
Viewer software?
LockLizard’s SafeGuard Secure PDF Viewer software
is available for free, regardless of whether or not you have purchased any readings.

5. What are the system requirements for LockLizard’s
SafeGuard Secure PDF Viewer software?
LockLizard’s Safeguard Secure PDF Viewer is compatible with the following
platforms :
• Windows ME, NT, 2000, XP
• Mac OSX 10.2 or above
You must have Windows administration privileges in
order to install the Viewer software.
6. What will my purchased readings look like?
Purchased readings viewed in "My Library" will appear as embedded
PDF files. For downloaded files, once you have successfully registered the
SafeGuard Secure PDF Viewer software, the encrypted PDF file will be decrypted
and displayed instantly.

7. How do I suggest readings for the library?
To suggest a reading or even a topic area that you’d like to see
offered in the library, please click here.
8. I am receiving an error message saying that LockLizard
cannot connect to the license server by Internet. How do I disable my firewall?
“We cannot connect to the license server by Internet. Please
check that you are connected, or that a firewall is not stopping this connection.”
This error message is displayed if either a firewall or proxy is stopping
the Safeguard Viewer from getting to the Internet.
Firewall
If you are behind a company firewall then your IT department may have to
configure the firewall to accept an outbound connection for the viewer program
pdcviewer.exe. This is also true for personal firewalls that may also need
to authorize the program HKLD.exe.
Below are instructions for disabling the firewall.
Windows XP
To determine your version of Windows XP, please do the following:
i. Right-click on Start and click on Explore.
ii.Go to
Help then click About Windows.
If you have Service Pack 2 then follow the instructions below. If not, proceed
to Instructions B.
i. Log on as a user that has Administrative privileges.
ii. Click on Start, then choose Control Panel.
iii. Click on Security Center.
iv. Under “Manage Security Setting
for:”, click
on Windows Firewall then click Off then click OK.
v. After you have registered
your LockLizard Reader Software, please revert to your original firewall
settings.
Instructions B: i. Log on as a user that has Administrative privileges.
ii.
Open the Network Connections folder, right click the desired connection,
and then click Properties.
iii. Click the Advanced tab, and remove the check
from Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access
to this computer from the Internet.
iv. Click Yes to the dialog windows that
asks you to confirm your decision to disable the firewall.
v. After you have registered
your LockLizard Reader Software, please revert to your original firewall
settings.
Norton Internet Security

i. Log on using an account with Adult or Supervisor rights.
Open Norton Internet Security.
ii.
On the left side of the window, click Internet
Status and then click Current Status.
iii. In the Current Status window,
click Disable.
iv. After you have registered your LockLizard Reader Software,
please revert to your original firewall settings.
Norton Personal Firewall

i. Open Norton Personal Firewall.
ii. On the left side
of the window, click Internet Status and then click Current Status.
iii.
In the Current Status window, click Disable.
iv. After you have registered
your LockLizard Reader Software, please revert to your original firewall
settings.
You can also disable Norton Personal Firewall by right-clicking
on the Norton Personal Firewall icon in the notification area of the taskbar
and selecting disable.
McAfee Internet Security

i. Right-click the McAfee icon.
ii. Point to Personal
Firewall and then click Options.
iii. Click the Security tab.
iv. Set the Security Level by moving the slider
to the desired level.
v. Set Access to Low.
vi. Click OK to save changes.
vii. After you have registered your LockLizard Reader Software, please revert to your original firewall settings.
McAfee Firewall

i. Click Stop McAfee Firewall to disable the software.
ii. From the Welcome to McAfee Firewall screen, go to the Network Control
Settings and select Allow All Traffic.
iii. After you have registered your
LockLizard Reader Software, please revert to your original firewall settings.
Proxy
In the case of proxy servers, these are used to change the port addressing
from the Windows default to some other internally determined port number. The
internal IT department must provide the port number that is actually used and
if necessary give an ID and Password if you use authentication.
Off the
Windows Start menu > Programs > Lizard Safeguard PDF Viewer > Proxy
Settings is where you enter this information. See proxy settings.
The LockLizard admin server IP address is 82.165.43.29 or https://www.locklizard-license1.co.uk:8444/LockLizardLicensing
Once you have registered the viewer it does not need the proxy settings
again unless someone decides to change your internal proxy settings.
9. I have already purchased the digital version of the reading but now I have decided to order the print copy. How do I order a print copy?
To order a print copy of the reading/s that you have previously purchased, please give us a call at 201.719.7210 ext. 7267 to confirm your shipping address and credit card information. Please have your invoice number ready.
10. I have not yet received my LockLizard License required to register. How do I request my license to be emailed to me again?
The email which contains your license file is automatically generated. If you have not received this email, most probably your mail server has blocked the email since it contains a file attachment. Please provide us with another email address to send the license file to.
11. I was trying to print my readings when I got a "drawing error" on some of the readings. What does this mean?
This error is caused by your printer. Please change the advanced settings of your printer to "Print document as an image". For further info, please refer to your printer's user manual.
12. How do I get a copy of my invoice for my records?
Here are the steps on how to print a copy of your invoice:
1. Please click the "My Account" link on the left side menu of the page: You
will then be asked to login if you are not yet logged in.
2. After logging in, it will redirect you to the "My Details" page. Please click on the link "View Invoices" on the top menu. 3. You are now in the "Invoice History" page. Click on the link "Show Printable View" next to the invoice you want to print. 4. A new window will open up to display the invoice. You may now print the invoice using the print icon on your browser or choose File>Print.
13. How do view my purchased readings online?
1. Click on the "My Library" link on the left side menu or click
here. If you are not logged in, it will redirect you to the login page.
After logging in, it will redirect you back to the "My Library" page.
2. In the "My Library" page, click on the "View Online" button next
to the reading you wish to view. Please wait for about 2-3 seconds for the reading
to appear.
